About The Blogger

At the age of 6,  my mother took my great-grandmother and myself to see Evita at Bristol Hippodrome, and I was entranced. Not by Lloyd-Webber's music, as Cats is his only accpetable work to me, but by the theatre in general. A few years later, my mother took me to see Chicago, and yes, I was very young to be seeing that sexy of a show. I drove her mad the whole way home by singing the songs verbatim, having seen and heard the show for the first time three hours prior.

The stage is a massive part of my life, and whilst I have had some opportunity to tread the boards, my music-making has always taken priority.

I'm a music college graduate, and reviewed for The Mancunion whilst I attended the university, and later for NODA and London Jazz Review.

I do a lot of reading, and a lot of watching, but everything you read on this blog is my opinion. Plus I'm broke as hell, as so many of us are, so I can promise I would tell you if a show charging £30 a ticket is only worth a fiver. 😘
